Well, I walked into my local HD shop to buy a different air cleaner for my stage 4 engine. The dyno tech scurried up to me and couldn't wait to tell me about the new HD 110" kit that requires no case work. More to follow .......Don't tell the wife.
There area number of "packages" out there that will render more bang for your buck. Do your homework and you'll be a Happy Camper
My first post, It's been about 15 years since I rode, had a 1982 FXR Shovel, loved that bike. Anyway I'm looking to buy soon so if you would be so kind as to tell me what packages your talking about and if these other packages void the dealer warranty I would greatly appreciate it. I ask because I'm deciding between a used Fat Bob with a dealer installed Stage 1 with V and H pipes and transferable warranty or a Softail Slim S. I like the thought of the additional low end power that comes with the 110 hence the S but that $18,000+ price tag don't thrill me so much. Then I saw the Stage V upgrade and my local dealer is having a winter special and would install it and they said it would not void the warranty on the Fat Bob. The total cost of the kit including dyno tune and labor is $2566. If I did my numbers right my out the door price on the Fat Bob with the kit would be about $15,200. With two years left on a transferable warranty.

In my book, the Fat Bob that costs you 15,200 would still be worth 12,634 the day you bought it, where as the Slim S would be worth the 18k.
What we add to our bikes in the way of amenities are not adding value to the bike, just adds enjoyment.
