Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that bees could only sting once due to their barbed stinger.
(Guess I'm lucky - I've only been stung by wasps - and never while riding.)
maybe he was attacked by yellow jackets or wasp. They can sting more then once
Yep... What he said.
I think a lot of people use the generic term "Bee" for several types of flying stinging bees, wasps, hornets, yellow jacketsetc.
Also, what the hell is up with the instant "impact sting"?? I swear some of these "bees" must fly *** first because I've been hit numerous times and the sting was immediate... As if the stinger hit first.. Jeeezzz it freakin hurts.
I had a wasp go down my shirt several years ago. He crawled down my back and I didn't know he was there till I leaned forward and made the shirt tight against my back. I got the first jolt and started trying to pull over and to reach behind me to do what, I don't know. I just wanted it to stop. He stung me a few more times (not a honey bee this time) and finally I just rubbed him out against my skin. I finally got to a place where I could pull off the road and pulled my shirttail out of my jeans and shook him out. He was smushed really good. I had a few small swellings, but not a big deal.
