Probably not the safest thing to do, but I've slung a tire over my shoulder like a bandolier and carried it for a short trip.

I rode with two around my waist, once. Wasn't a problem.

I've done this and carried it over my sissy bar. No problems at all other than looking goofy

Thanks for the advice. I'm likely going to wear it like a bandoleer, since this seems to be the safest way to do it... at least in my mind it seems to be the safest.

I will post some pictures when I do it... should be this week once the tire arrives from Bikebandit.

Yep. 16" inside diameter is roughly 50.3" inside circumference.

I've been riding with a large spare tire for years. Don't see what the problem would be. Doctor wants me to lose it though. Guess it's off to the salad bar.

A buddy had a tire blow out on our trip a couple of years ago. We got him flatbedded to a Kawasaki store. They didn't have the right size in stock but called their sister store about 20 miles away. They had the right tire but no way to get it to us. So two of us rode over to the other store to pick it up. The other guy put it around his waist like a big belt and rode back. No police problem at all. Just be careful that the tire isn't resting on your gas tank.
