A little over two years ago I sold my 05 carb'd FLSTSC and bought a 2wd Ural. Have been having a ball riding the Ural but in all honesty, I have missed my Springer. I had put 88,000 miles on it and it had been bulletproof with the only issue being a weeping shift shaft seal.
When I sold my 05 I said I was done with Harley. I had ridden them for over 40 years but the Motor Company was really pissing me off with all the high tech **** they were doing with their bikes and I swore them off. Well, as the title of this thread says............."Never say Never".
Came across an 07 Springer for sale and although it has fuel injection, I think I can live with it. I sent a message to the seller but because of the Holiday weekend I have haven't gotten a response yet.
It's got low mileage and looks to be bone stock with the exception of some goofy skull gas cap. Although my 05 had some good mods and got a lot of compliments, I think if I end up with this one with the exception of the seat and a set of bags, I will probably leave it stock.
Thanks. I'm not back yet but may be soon. I am registered for the Hoka Hey again. I was going to just rent a Road Glide and do it in style but if I get the Springer, I guess I will be beating myself up again. Maybe I'll get one of those tablets or whatever they are called and do a daily journal while on the Hoka Hey.
Well, I will second Ron's welcome. You've been missed around here. Looking forward to more of your stories. I forwarded a link to your adventures to a friend on both the springer and Ural and that prompted him to buy one too.
