If your not taking a parking space then why are you in the parking garage at all?it is a parking spa
Even if you park where cars cannot, it is a parking space.
I pay. Usually they will have us park close to the attendants. Which, in my opinion, is cool - some of them watch out for the bikes.
I disagree. The outside lot I was in today had a dumpsternear the cornerand a large wedge size empty spot right in the corner of the lot. So there was a dumpster close to the corner, then the triangular space, then a parking space.I parked in that triangle. I took up no useable space in the lot. I was inside for 30 minutes. Why should I pay 3.00 to go to the doctor if I did not take a parking space?
I have learned after many years of riding that if the lot I go in doesn't ahve anyhwere to park my bike that is NOT a real spot to find another parking place nearby. If I take a full spot I will pay, therefore I never take a real spot. It is never necessary...
Most places I've been have just waved me through. I won't park in a spot in those situations out of courtesy. I have also slid in and out a couple of times, if the situation allows. Of course, I'm not taking up one of their valued parking spaces at those times either.

Motorcycles definitely have their benefits. But skirting having to pay for parking isn't one of them in my view. Bypassing a gate is tantamount to stealing in my opinion. Just not the right thing to do. As was mentioned above, doing such only serves to give the folks in vehicles yet another reason to slam us. Motocyclists are always making efforts to be 'on par' with the rest of the folks out there on the roadways. Stating that they have just as much right to the roads (which we do) as do their vehicular counterparts. Knowingly not paying for parking (amongst many other things), in my opinion, only serves to weaken that goal.
Completely agree. For the few bucks it costs to park, I'd just as soon pay it and not look like I'm trying to steal anything.

Let's be hones, a bike takes up a lot less space than a car
I know you said you always park in a place that a car won't fit but for those that skirt and still park in a spot,a parking spot is lost... regardless if it's a car or a bike.
