I'm currently running a Dunlop D407 on my Dyna. Its about spent. I would like to get something softer/stickier. I'm not concerned with how long it will last. I don't push it hard in the corners so I'm not so concerned about the outside edges of the tire, but I would like to have a tire that will hook up when I wack the throttle from a slow roll. Any suggestions?
Look into Metzler. I've heard good things about them but never ran one myself. I did run an IRC tire years ago and it was so soft I burnt it off in about 5K miles.
Pirelli Night Dragon!! Love it,, I can lay into corners, hit the throttle and pull 2G's.
The tire doesn't stay stuck to the road, it reaches out and grabs handful's of it.
Guy's don't like to follow me anymore, they got tired of riding over the claw marks left in the tar!! https://www.denniskirk.com/search/pi...night+dragon.q
Thanks Nevil. So the rear hooks up pretty good from a roll when you wack the heck out of it? I know temperature has allot to do with it, but for the most part (warm day) it will hook up pretty well?

No problems hooking up at all. Then again I'm only running a stage 1 on an otherwise stock motor.
Thanks Nevil. I'm going to give the Avon a try. I've tried fooling around with the air pressure in this tire. It will hook if I drop the pressure way down so that the sidewall caves but I don't want to drop the pressure down to where the tire heats up and falls apart when I'm riding on the freeway...lol. Thanks for your help.
