Default Copart Auctions

Has anyone bought a wrecked or repo bike through a Copart auction? I'm seriously thinking about trying to get a project bike through them.

A good friend looked into buying a couple different ones. What they sold for was so much money by the time you bought the parts you would have more in the bike then it would ever be worth. Plus it has a R on the title.

On the other side of the coin, I have a nephew in AZ who buys stuff from them fairly often. Mostly he buys, restores, and re-sells. He seems to know what he is doing. I don't know what kind of success a rookie could expect.

It seems like what I am looking for is definitely less desirable and on the lower end. I don't care if it's wrecked in the front since I am going to do a super bike front end swap, I'm looking for a sportster 1200 maybe even an 883 to make an around town hooligan bike. I wouldn't mind a Dyna but I want to do this on the cheap

My vision is peanut tank, bobbed rear fender, mid controls, 2 into 1 loud pipes. I'm thinking an 80's or 90's model bike.

My brother buys a lot of cars from there. its an auction style bidding so depending on the item and the people who are interested you could walk away with a steal. If your handy with a wrench and know exactly what you want it's a good place to look

I will say my friend was looking for a Softail or a Road King. Im sure a Sportster would be alot cheaper...

Bought from there, long time ago. Just like any other auction site.
