Default Quick Detach Tour Pak Install

Just installed my quick release detachable tour pack kit on my 2012 FLHTCU. Im really happy with it the install was pretty simple and its the exact result I was looking for. Im very happy with it except the look of the license plate, and the antenna sticking up. I want to get a fairing mount antenna and a new seat as well because the touring seat looks like a flotation device. If anyone has a 09-13 street glide seat for sale please let me know. What can I do about relocating the license plate? Will a street glide brake/signal bar with license plate mount work on my bike, anyone know?

Why would you leave your Tour Pak on the floor ?. Put it elsewhere with less chance of getting beat, scratched or walked over. Go to the classified ads in here, EBay or any other HD related forum classified ads to find the seat that you want.

Good Luck,

Thorey

For the plate, I would make a bracket off the bag bars. I bought my used SG seat off of EBAY.

I currently have a 15 Street Glide seat. I'd take $125.00 plus shipping costs. The Rushmore model seats fit down to 09.

This is what I did to my 10UC. I purchased a small radius plate holder from drag specialties and attached it to fender, could have went with large radius with wider fender but this worked out. Antenna under fairing, lay down taillight lense with clear panel on bottom for license plate light. I
am also running a SG seat..

(^^^^^^^^ see above) I used Harleys relocation bracket, looks cool as it floats over the tail light. Antenna, I don't need no stinking antenna. I use my mp3's.

Get a shorty rubber flexible antenna from an auto parts store or wal mart, etc. it will work as well as your long metal one. I replaced my long metal one because I kept bumping into it when walking behind the bike.

Keep in mind a shorty may rub the bottom of your tour pack. I ended up installing a fairing mount antenna when I had the fairing off. I like the cleaner look.

I bet you can find a seat at a dealer in their take off bin.

I bought the HD hidden antennae. Don't waste you money on that. I live in the Dallas Metro area and the reception of even big signal channels faded quickly not far from the city limits. I put the kit antennae on and the difference in reception is huge.
