I bought moon mc day makers for my wife's bike and my bike. I started out installing my wife's first, she has a 2011 sportster 883. With the wiring and plug on the back of the light, it doesn't sit all the way into the headlight bucket. I managed to get it in there secure and mount the trim ring onto it. But because it is pushed out a little the trim ring is stretched a little wider than normal. As a consequence, when I put the screw in it doesn't reach far enough to catch onto the nut and I can't fasten it. I bought longer screws from the hardware store, but the head of the screw is too wide to fit properly into place. Outside of grinding down the head of the screw, does anyone have any suggestions?
