Hey why not some old guy on a hardtail pulled up at a light not long ago, bike sounded strange as he approached. Turned out to be a one lung 250 of some breed with a tiny peanut tank and the old 3 foot tall hand made sissy bar on it. Guy was rocking the hell out of and honestly it didn't look bad at all, he was grinning to no end. Straight up rat but a class act no less.

PS you should have dug around in that barn while you were there, had to something to help make the trip worth it

I think "Prince" use to ride one of those. Check under the seat and see if he autographed it. If it was his, maybe I'll buy it from you for like $20,000.

There's always hope......

Maybe you will get lucky. I once was given an old 750 ltd in about the same condition. Kicked it over when I got it home just to see if it was locked up or if it had compression and the damn thing fired right up first slow kick!!!! Cleaned it up and rode it a while before selling it for a tidy little profit.

I had a suzuki 650 single rat bike project we gave to a brother who doesn't have a scoot. A friend who builds choppers finished it up for him it's a total rat but it got him on 2 wheels. Starting the tear down on this one today, it'll be a fun bar hopper for when I don't feel like riding the rad glide around town.

Not to be a Debbie downer, but I liked mxdad's story a lot better! Good luck with your new project!

I had my fingers crossed for you and was hoping for something really cool. That Kawi really doesn't look too bad. I'd fix it and ride the wheels off it. You got a good story to tell. This has been one of the best threads to follow for quite some time.
