I'm also a fan of the drift cams. the remote tells you at a glance what's happening, which mode, battery indicator, card capacity...not to mention several more mounting options with the rotating lens. I lost an original HD 170 while snowmobiling when a branch snapped off the metal mount and went back 3 months later in the spring to find it had washed down a creek almost a mile from where it broke off. it was full of water, dried it out for a few days, put a fresh battery in and it fired right up.
I have a couple go pros as well, they get mounted in spots where the cam is more likely to fall off or sustain damage from debris or a crash. they are pretty tough inside their protective case. broken a few cases but the cams have always survived.
the drift app is handy too, I mount my drift ghost to a pole and hold it underwater while one of us is bringing in a nice walleye or pike. you can watch on your phone to capture a good shot of the fish coming in on the line.
