hello I'm hoping somebody has an answer. i have a 13 street glide dealer installed the harley iPod module. i just bought a used xm module with antenna and harness. but it doesn't work. i called dealer and they sold me another harness and it has a connector for the xm but not iPod module. i can't believe I'm the only one in the world that wants a iPod and xm on the radio.please help.
not on the 13. didn't get the usb port until the rushmores came out in 2014.
i think that you have to combine the two harnesses. there should be some instructions that tell you to put a certain color wire in a certain pin location.....

Down load the instructions to the XM module and the IPod interface. The info is in one if not both. It's kind of confusing, but if I remember correctly there are plugs and wire harnesses that need to be manipulated.

had a friend try and hook up and got both to work but no sound. any help. thank you.
thank you larry i have both instructions and the harness that came with the xm module and bought the non ultra harness and still can't get both to work. thank you again. friend has both hooked up just no sound need to figure out how to get sound by finding the right wires.
Copied ..... In the meantime, provide a brief description of your XM installation. Presumably, you had to unplug the 35 wire connector from the back of the HK radio; remove some wires from that connector; and, reinsert them in the 35 wire connector on the non-Ultra overlay harness (NUOH).
I'd suspect that the left and right audio wires for the ipod that you had to reinsert into the NUOH's 35 wire connector are not properly inserted. Those are the wires that go in chambers 8 (Tan/Red (?) wire; left ipod channel) and 31 (tan/bk (?) right ipod channel).
It's very easy to feel that the wires are correctly inserted, but they are not--they aren't inserted far enough to make contact when the connector is plugged into the HK radio. An easy way to check is to look at insertion side of the 35 wire connector--the sockets should be up against the red wedgelock's inner surface.
