Default Help!!!! Forks locked!!

Hey guys I'm in need of some serious help. I'm in the process of switching handlebars and while trying to put new bushings in the forks I must have spun the wheel to the left too far and now the forks are locked. I can't seem to unlock them no matter what I do. Does the lock electronically deactivate because if so I have the battery disconnected. I would rather unlock them manually if possible. Help please! Memorial weekend is knocking on my door! Lol

Does the key go into the lock and turn?

What kind of bike? We're talking about a bike, right? I believe you made mention of a steering wheel?

There is no electronic lock. Is your ignition switch out? This is a street glide, right? try this video, it may answer some of your questions.

Ok so I got the fork lock off by wiggling the **** out of the cylinder but now I can't get the cylinder out. SMH! Anyone want a torn apart street glide? Lol wiring my handlebars was bad enough and now this happens!

Your tumblers are off. Look at the tumblers, if you have another bike look at those, if not, look up on line. Put the key in and see if you can release the button under the ignition switch, if so and the ignition doesn't come out you can use the key and ignition switch (spinning it) to spin the tumblers and feel it out, so to speak. Take your time and be patient. If you look at the way it works you will figure it out. Sorry, don't have time for a more detailed description right now but I have seen this happen before.

Ok thanks I will try that. I can push the little release in at the bottom but it doesn't release or turn. I only had a few minutes to mess with it this morning but I will give 'er hell tonight. Patience is hard when I'm looking out the shop door at the sunshine! Stay close to the forum I may need ya! Lol Thanks for all the help!
