yep, and they do have exits as well. could be the op was behind the guy leaving the parking lot, when he last minute remembered that widget that he forgot to get and threw it in reverse. and, well, you know the rest of the story......
That is exactly what happened to me last year. I was behind 3 cars exiting a shopping center onto a 4 lane boulevard (2 each way). Fist 2 go, next one gets about a third out, and she changes her mind, and flips into reverse, and backs up ten feet. I yelled and jumped off my bike, and she stops an inch from my bike.
I get ready to scream at the idiot, and a bawling, 17 y/O Blonde, with blue eyes(like my daughter) jumps out of the car and asks me not to get her in trouble. So I didn't have the satisfaction of yelling at her, and my bike was Ok, so I just took a picture of her driver's license. In case I found damage later, but there was none.
My left leg still isn't perfect, so sometimes I need to open my door all the way in order to get out of my truck. I parked away from everyone at Home Depot (don't mind walking). Right as I shut off my truck, some bimbo in a minivan pulls up practically right next to my door. I give her a look, and she says, "It's OK...I don't care if you bump my car with your door." All kinds of other spots available that are closer.
I think there may be a big ******* magnet in my truck.
A lot of people don't seem to understand the difference between asking questions for clarification purposes versus accusing
Exactly...we have a guy sitting on his bike ( I assume he was there first) directly behind someone in a car who is in the process of backing up. The rest of the lot is empty. It's just so strange. Why would the guy pick reversing into that spot when he could have just drove through an empty one and still be facing outward? Wonder what his thought process was. Just boggles my mind. :-)
maybe someone let themselves get backed into to they could file a lawsuit, get a bunch of money and not have to pay for his bike.
You must be a really nice person. Because you don't have a criminal mind like me. If you are going to pull a scam like that, you don't take a brand new bike, and let it get run over. You take a POS and use that.
How could his bike possibly come out better than before it was hit?

Maybe he really didn't like the bike, or decided his payments were too high and just wanted to get rid of it.

His bike is not totaled, so how was that supposed to happen?
Most insurance companies are going to give you the current book price, which will be thousands less than his purchase price, if it was totaled
Ha. Didn't realize I'd start such a firestorm...but for clarification I went for a nice ride and pulled into the side lot of a gas station I frequent that has a big lot. Tree near the rear corner overhangs and provides shade, so I pulled under it and shut the bike off to check my phone. Guy pulls in the lot and parks right near me... I'm still on the bike, he goes in the store, buys whatever and comes out. When he backs up...keeps coming. Yes I yelled, and since the bike was off I tried moving the beast out of the way as fast as I could, but not fast enough since he backed into me. He told the Police he saw me when he pulled in, because he likes bikes and "just wasn't paying attention" as he backed up.....
As far as Erie....I called and left 4 voicemails today for adjuster to call me, no response.
I work, pay my bills, and am not trying to conspire against someone or something to get a new bike or become a millionaire. I simply want my bike fixed back to the condition it was when I left my garage....
