I "owe" nothing to a scofflaw. They don't own the road and no one has to move over within their lane for an immature snot.
I spent 22 years teaching them to be a good citizen by arresting them with as many violations as I could find. The ones that didn't learn caused me to make a trip to their families to explain why they weren't coming home anymore.
I agree as long as you are doing speed limit, the other guy can bugger off. It is aholes like them that cause accidents
Glad to know a bit about "the dragon". Thanks. Maybe in NC folks outta medicate more...this is sort of legal in cali...enough medication and the urge to fight seems to pass away... it does depend on the brand tho...green medicine - not white powders...
'fraid I'm a westcoaster...It's pretty ordinary to have the N cali rural roads pretty much to yourself...fewer people I guess. Maybe they're all in LA speaking Spanish, Arabic, or whatever. Anyway they're not here...good.
I worry about gravel and deer and bear and rocks and trees, not so much cars and bikes and trucks - except on the main highway where it does suck, sometimes.
Rain today...boredom.
Tell us, though, about other twisties in NC... All new to me...
Took this route one day while staying in Maggie Valley NC. Dale Walksler of Wheels Through Time museum recommended that general area. He said all the roads there are fine. Turned out to be a great ride. Very little traffic, beautiful scenery/waterfalls, etc., and plenty of good roads.
Somewhere I rode there were signs, slower traffic must use turnouts. I didn't see any exemptions for old timers on Harleys. If your the slow them let people go by, does not seem hard to understand. When I'm on a Harley I understand that there are even cars that are faster than I am and I make way. When I'm on the FZ1, even though I'm as old as the OP, just please get out of the way.
There is also safety involved. I have never ridden the dragon but from what I understand there are more curves than straight aways. I agree with letting faster traffic pass you if you are on a straight away, but with the curves that the dragon has, some being switchbacks, I don't think it would be safe to pass on those curves. You got to be stupid and have a death wish to try and pass in a curve.
