Everyone is acting like moving a few feet to the side and letting someone slide by is some kind of life altering move that they have to make. Lots of hard asses talking about beating some *** because someone wants to move by them. Sounds like the guy trying to pass in this instance was a douche, but a lot of that internet tough guy attitude coming from a lot of members here too.
And you and some other people are acting like staying behind someone who is already speeding is a life altering event.
I've never been there, but I've read the tales, saw the photos, and it's really not on my "Bucket List" of places to ride. But I have to ask, what is the attraction that can't be found anywhere else? Are the turns broad enough to go WFO on a sport bike?
Being in California, there are some roads that are popular for the squid riders who are pretty much what makes Angeles Crest Highway a place to avoid on weekends
This guy grew up in the area and not many can keep up with him.
maybe start at the 1 minute mark and see what the road looks like.
What you don't see is bumber to bumper bikes going both ways on moar days.
Glad to know a bit about "the dragon". Thanks. Maybe in NC folks outta medicate more...this is sort of legal in cali...enough medication and the urge to fight seems to pass away... it does depend on the brand tho...green medicine - not white powders...
'fraid I'm a westcoaster...It's pretty ordinary to have the N cali rural roads pretty much to yourself...fewer people I guess. Maybe they're all in LA speaking Spanish, Arabic, or whatever. Anyway they're not here...good.
I worry about gravel and deer and bear and rocks and trees, not so much cars and bikes and trucks - except on the main highway where it does suck, sometimes.
Rain today...boredom.
Tell us, though, about other twisties in NC... All new to me...
What the hell is so special about this Dragon? If I'm on a public road in a car and some ******* is tailgating me, I'm not gonna pull off to the side of the road to let him by. He'll just have to practice some patience, control himself, and follow the rules of the road dammit!
Same situation, but now I'm on a bike where I can safely move to the right of the lane: Let the faster bike go. I did that just today because I don't want him behind me anyway.
What is telling in this story is that when the 2 baggers DID pull off, the ninja ***** apparently wasn't as interested in going faster, as he was in stopping to explain to them how important he was, and that they were in his almighty way.
I ride that area a lot. You should have let him pass but not everyone does that. He should have just passed you anyway. He sounds like a *****. He even left his helmet on lol
