Not packing a 44, just not going to let some ******* on my tail ruin my ride and if it ruins his, it would make my day. Likewise, if he came up on me fast and then held back at a reasonable distance, ready to pass, I'd look for the opportunity to wave him by. Courtesy works both ways.

I am not going to let him endanger my life only to be an ******* on the bumper of the next ride in front of me.

People not respecting others is what started this thread.

you might want to go to youtube and watch the crotch rockets and porshes coming out of curves trying for 100 mph and imagine others doing 25 mph- all together at the same time.
You cannot wait for a 1/4 mile or any mile. You are just in the stream of vehicles until you get to the end. youtube it and see it for yourself. Also, understand that the exact same thing is happening in the other lane and stupid people do cross the double yellow line. There is no line of sight, just curves and trees almost the entire 12 miles.
it is rare to see an RV or truck.
You might have a different opinion once you actually do it a time or two.

Fast bikes cannot pull over and wait for a few minutes, it is continuous stream of traffic most of the time, to do so just means they get behind more slow folks. Riding this is a lot like your bike becoming a part of a roller coaster ride, kind of stuck to the one ahead and the one behind except everyone is going a different speed.

This is why there are so many accidents/day and why everyone needs to have respect for the other.

When the slow ones ahead of you let you by, and you let those behind pass you, then everyone wins. simple as that.
that is why they put pull overs every couple of miles so everyone continues on at their own pace.
And that is the problem. It is not a ****ing race track. I love to go fast, do so all the time, but a clogged up road with slow moving vehicles on it is not the place to be a badass. More like a dumbass. Go early in the am or during off season if you want to go 9/10 or 10/10. Plus, lots of those doing so have no ****ing idea what they are doing...

um...... that was my point.

I wasn't defending the idiots trying to hit 100 mph, I was saying, let those going faster go on by.

Heck, you might pass them in a couple of miles while you are doing 35

It still leads back to courtesy and respect. others should let you by and you should let others by, regardless of speed.

Nobody can say it better than this.^^^^

If you want to live out your Walter Mitty fantasies then sack up and get into organized track racing. Let's see how you make out in "fast traffic" made up of people that know what they're doing. But if you're pushing the limits on a public road then YOU are the danger, not the people going slower than you. But then what do I know.

I have lived about an hour from the Dragon for about a year. I ride there frequently and have never had a problem. I ride relatively aggressive but never feel the need to pass anyone. This may be because I can ride it anytime I want. Also, if someone passes me, it doesn't bother me. Live and let live. That being said, if someone did feel the need to aggressively approach me after the fact, there would be a problem.

Talking Put up or STFU...

If the OP and or his buddy had been one percenters does anyone here think Randy Racer would have said squat? I sincerely doubt it.

What if the OP or his buddy had been LEO's? Hmmmm, again I sincerely doubt it. If you would not say it to a bad *** or a cop then just keep your opinions to yourself... Since you are obviously a *****.

Someone's right and desire to ride fast using their desired lane positions and lines doesn't trump my rights and desire to ride slow using my desired lane position and lines. If you come up behind me riding fast I have no obligation to alter my ride so you don't have to alter yours. Out of courtesy I may elect to, but that is my choice. Why would some one that wants to ride fast think I am somehow responsible for their time? If you really want to ride faster than me and don't want to wait, take responsibility for your own time, simply get there before I do. I learned a long time ago if I don't want to wait, in traffic, grocery store lines, doctors offices etc I had better get there first. The person in front of me in the grocery store line with 2 full carts of groceries may elect to offer to let me go first with my one item, they may be courteous and make such an offer, but they are in no way obligated to do so and I have no right to pressure them to do so. How fast I want to get home to watch the game isn't their concern. Why should I think they are somehow responsible for my time?
