some of you guys are hard cases most of the time if I see them comming I will pull over to the right and let them go and hope they will return the courtesy to me as I have had to follow parade riders on long twistie sections and really pi$$es me off..
Would it be considered rude if I pulled up behind someone, and flashed my lights a few times to let them know I want to pass? Sometimes people either dont know you want to go around them or the just dont notice your behind them. It can be very irratating to get stuck behind somebody putzing along 5 or 10 under the limit.
When I'm in front of another vehicle, I own that lane. If it's a bike and they want to go by and conditions are ok, I'll move over a bit. No problem with that. I've never had any problem with another bike. Cars on the other hand....It's like I stated in another thread about driver training in our state (NY). There is page after page of "Don't drink & drive, or do drugs." in the handbooks, but not one sentence about common sense/courtesy about driving around bikes. My son (16) got his license last year and said that the majority of his written test dealt with drugs & alcohol with NOT ONE question regarding bikes. Nice. Like I told him when he first started driving and would get nervous when another car behind him would start getting up his tailpipe: Screw'em. Unless it's a vehicle with lights & sirens going, they can slow down, back off and do the freakin' speed limit. You're not driving for their schedule.

you must be the guy with 20 cars stuck behind them cause if the speed limit is fast enough for you it's fast enough for everyone. why wouldn't you be courteous and let people pass. even if if your going the speed limit and have a bunch of people backed up behind you
you are impeading traffic and can be ticketed for it. seen it happen.
If I see someone coming up faster from behind, if I'm riding or driving, I will stay to the right, and let them get around me. That doesn't happen real often, I'm usually about 8 mph over the limit, but if someone is in a real big hurry, let them around....
The key is to READ traffic, not to SEE it. Who's going how fast and who's aggressive? I drive a cage for work and there's nothing more infuriating than another car doing the speed limit in the left lane matching speeds with a guy in the right. You can watch the traffic pile up behind the clowns! If everyone treated traffic like the job it should be instead of the iPod induced zone-out it IS, we'd all be a little less frustrated...

I don't have a problem with it at all. I don't like crotch rockets screaming past me at 100 mph on a twisty road, but if I see another bike coming up behind I ALWAYS move right and let 'em pass in my lane. What's the big deal?
Same here...I see another bike comin' up behind me I move to the right. Common courtesy. Happened to me a couple weeks ago, I typically do 10 MPH over on the backroads and here comes a bagger flyin' up behind me. I move to the right he cruises on by just like it should be.
