Harley buys from a lot of automotive suppliers, so the parts are going to come from wherever those suppliers operate. The speedo in my Dyna was made by Continental Automotive Systems, the PCM and BCM by Delphi, etc.

Check out this info: Harley Davidson India.

http://www.harley-davidson.com/conte...y-profile.html

Oh, as far as the MEG VIN, that is produced in India for India consumption only. Models produced in India for export the VIN starts with an N, just as the Op said. The info is out there if you know how to do research instead of playing keyboard warrior.

Manufacturing Plant:

Y, B = York, PA
T = Tomahawk, WI
J = Milwaukee, WI
K = Kansas City, KS
D = Manaus, Brazil
E = Buell East Troy
N = Haryana, India (Bawal District Rewari)

Not that I am interested in buying Harley's new junk, but it's nice of the Op to try to give you guys a heads up so if you do buy a new H-D you'll be a little bit wiser.

Just a little "nit pick" with the information you posted.
Not sure where you got it, but HD does not build any bikes in Kansas

The Kansas City plant (Sportster, Dyna, V-Rod) is in Missouri

Where did you find that an Indian made bike meant for export (from India) had a VIN starting with "N" - I couldn't find that info in the link you provided?

My service manuals just say MEG is for vehicles built in India - the table in my manuals doesn't specify that they are only for sale in India or not. "N" only shows up in position #5 as configured for India

Exactly, the op SAID his bikes vin that he bought in Canada started with an "N" . We don't believe him. Simple as that, and easy enough to prove, a pic and I'll be the first to apologize...oh yeah, that was mentioned already...
