I'd like to see the sources for the information on this lower compression motor and big twins made in India for Canada, etc. before I totally buy into the Internet hate.
Actually could be a China clone knockoff. Lot of them floating around. Guy on 60 minutes said Harley Mother-ship cannot tell the difference from 10 feet.
I only know about the Streets. US bikes are made in Kansas. India, Australia and New Zealand bikes are made in India. I don't know where other countries get theirs.
Of note, the Revolution X engines and six-speed transmissions for the non US and Canadian models are also built in Bawal, on an expanded manufacturing line there. By producing bikes in Indiaas it has done since 2011 with models such as the SuperLow, Iron, 48, Street Bob, Fat Bob, Super Glide Custom, Fat Boy, Fat Boy Special, and Heritage Softail ClassicHarley avoids steep import tariffs, which has helped The Motor Company acquire a lions share of the heavyweight market in the worlds second most populous nation.
I'm from Canada and ran my VIN# in the Harley Recall Site (US Version as I couldn't find a Canadian Version) and all I got was the info below. Where did it show you the country of manufacture? I just used an online vin decoder site...so I assume your VIN# shows "GN" prior to the 6 digit production number if it was built in India.
Mine is "GC" which I determined to be a 2016 produced in Kansas city.
As for the 103 HO, The Street Bob is the only dyna that didn't get the bump (I'm not sure why)...but all the others were marked 103 high output on the air cleaner and the production info in the back of the 2016 product guide showed the difference.
I hope you get this all figured out...It's not easy to return a vehicle after the paperwork is finalized. But not getting full disclosure of info is one valid reason...good luck

Check your serial number !!
They build the 500street, & the 750street and the street bob in Bawal India. The 103 engine is a low compression version "not the same engine as the other Harleys". I believe that,..my bike has Zero power ! I had to dig deep and find out all this on my own. I am returning my bike to the dealer. I was led to believe this was a US built bike. I wondered why I got it for $12000 taxes in. The other models were thousands more. I feel totally betrayed by my dealer. The build quality is awful !! Buyer beware !
