Harley hiccup
I have a 2000 ultra fuel injected and it pulls a code 56 crank/cam sensor, runs good as long as your in the throttle but cruising it spits and sputters, it even idols... I took to shop and put on computer he said only thing he knew was to change both sensors and see..... Any body got any suggestions?
Ok I changed both sensors, still the same are there any other sensors that could be causing my problems?

Crank sensor can get covered with metal dust and screw up, fixed with cleaning. On my 2000 RK, when the crank sensor went, it was DEAD. No firing at all. Easy swap, part was about $45 if I remember right. Might be a problem finding one, 2000s are starting to drop off the (computer) parts books at dealers.

Clean throttlebody, check for intake leaks, does it have an add on tuner? When mine did the same thing ( MM system) I had a lean condition at steady throttle, had to fatten it up some. Also check the wire from CK sensor to ECM for a break in insulation.

My 2000 Ultra started the hiccup thing at about 75,000 or so miles.
After changing plugs, plug wires, intake seals, etc., etc., bike would NOT "code".
I had to have the Engine Temp Switch replaced and then the bike "coded" indicating a bad ECM (MM of course).
Could not locate and OEM so we went with an aftermarket brand and the bike ran better, but it never started as good as it did before.
Just a word of caution here:
Be sure that your tech has experience on MM system.
THe guy that bought my bike had a S&S EFI system installedand it ran like a "*** out of Hades"
Good luck.

Like Next In Line said, check the the fuel pressure. The MM systems are notorious about developing pin holes in the plastic corrugated fuel ones inside the tank. My bike ran ok until about a half tank and then it started to starve for fuel. There's a previous write up in the forum about how to fix this problem
