but, by doing so, you are going to be reducing your lean angle. if you are an aggressive rider, then you aren't going to like the results. if you're a 'sunday cruiser', might not be noticeable for you.

And not just lean angle, but overall suspension travel as well. I don't know how much travel is in the stock shocks but cutting out 1 inch has to be a substantial percentage.
You'll lose ride comfort, especially when 2 up and make it easier for the back suspension to bottom out on bad bumps or surfaces.
