Default Unintentional Lowering

Just had the 1" lowered Axeos installed on my 15 FLHR and it obviously lowered the front end. Problem is i didn't order the lowered version (sent by mistake) and didn't look that closely when I had a dealer do the install. I have the 13" Revo-A's on the back end. Would swapping out the back for 12" shocks do the trick as far as levelling out the lowering of the bike or is there anything else that would have to be done?

thanks for your thoughts
Lobo

If you had the wrong parts sent to you, why don't you return them for the correct ones instead of spending more money to work around it?

Just get the right parts? You'll be out the labor for the install, but that's probably still cheaper or at least comparable to buying new shocks, and you'll be happier with your bike set up how you want it.

The OP shouldn't have to eat labor costs for replacing the wrong parts with the correct ones if they didn't supply them.

OP bought parts then brought them to dealer to install. Why should the dealer do it for free?

Maybe I'm wrong here but can't you just use longer spacers at the top of the fork springs to get the 1" back? I would try it anyway before I spent a lot of money trying to compensate.

Cool

Let me clear something up......I'm not expecting the dealer to come good for another install! I got the Axeos from another supplier; so it's their error! There's nothing wrong with the install; in fact I had the HD dealer do a chrome kit on the front end at the same time. My question is- if I leave the front end as is, lowered (which I'm leaning towards); is it as simple as swapping out the rear 13" shocks for a set of 12" shocks (the rear shocks are from the same supplier as the Axeos on the front end)?

I had a similar issue. I bought Progressive Suspension Monotube Fork Kit. It lowered my front by 0.7 inches. I'm just living with it.

Yes, that'll do it.
