I dont know for sure what she wants, told her I would put it out there and check the options. She wears redwings for work but doesn't want to wear them riding.

I agree with Springer.
I wear a Bates tactical waterproof boot for my daily commute to work because they are light weight and offer all the protection I need for the 45min commute. I have an HD (weather resistant) boot that I wear on the weekends for all day riding, but they are not boots I'm comfortable wearing for extended walks. I have a Timberland knee high (higher heeled) waterproof boot that I wear when I'm touring. Comfortable all day, offer the most protection on the highway, and are comfortable to walk in and look really nice.
Take her shopping!!!

Go to the Redwing Store in your truck. Get one of everything. Next go to the Harley dealer. Get a pair of every female footwear they have.
Also buy her some chaps but keep those separate.
If she likes the boots, then later that night show her the chaps and tell her to put them on and meet you in the bedroom
If she doesn't like boots, show her the chaps and tell her you are going to find a woman that will wear these and promptly leave the house on your bike, with the chaps in your saddlebag.
When you return home, walk in with the dog, which is now wearing chaps.

) when shes not around look at her shoe/boot collection to get an idea of what her taste is..and look at 3 pairs of shoes at least ! ( some shoes run smaller/larger)to ensure you get the right size.. you doing it right and paying attention to her taste ..size etc..is HUGE to women !

Beware quality on women's boots. My girlfriend bought some at a leading quality motorcycle shop and they started falling apart especially the heel. Get some with an iron clad warranty. Many women's boots are more fashion than substance.
