Hey there guys I am looking at getting a softail slim and am 5 8 30 inch inseam just curious if anybody that is close to or this height just wondering how the bike rides for you. Also looking at street bob what is your guys opinion between the two thanks guys. Any info is very much appreciated
If you're buying it for me,I'll take the slim! Really your height shouldn't be a problem,I'm 6',with a 32" inseam, and I have no problem on my un-lowered Ultra.
But I'll tell you what everybody else will say-Go to the dealer and sit on both.Test ride each and decide what you want for YOU.
I'm 5'8" and pretty much any Softail rides great for me. My own ride is a Fat Boy 2015. I'm sure the Slim will work great for you if that is your choice.
I am 5'9" with a 30" inseam. I ride a '15 Slim. It fits me perfect. Even put a Mustang saddle on it and it still fits me right. I have not sit on a Street Bob so I can't comment about the differences.
I like the looks of the Slim so would be my choice of the 2. I am 5-10 w/32" and on my Heritage I am flat footed with my knees slightly bent, Slim typically sits lower so shouldn't be an issue for you I wouldn't think. Good Luck.
5'7" if I stretch. 28" inseam. Flat footed on my Softail, ridden FB flat footed.
Go for a test ride at a dealer on each of them. You should have no problem. Now as far as weight? Neither of them is a lightweight. If you need a lightweight bike, look at the Sporty or consider another brand, like a Triumph.
