I was wondering when the new models will be out or when we will know more about them? I am all set to buy a 07 streetglide but am wondering if I will regret it after waiting this long whats a couple more months....
There will not be any radical changes in '08, maybe a couple of discontinued models, and EPA laws are only going to get tougher on Harley's. They introduced 6 speed in o6 on Dynas, and to the rest of line in '07. 96' was big news in 07, don't expect any other major changes in '08. They might change a couple of paint schemes and make a couple of very minor changes to tweek the major changes they already did. HD spent a lot of R&D on new engine and tranny in last couple of years, it was their most tested and expensive engine change and tranny change in their history(inflated dollars). This is only my opinion, but I would try and make a deal on an '07 now, the '08's will be out soon, so the dealer will be more likely to give you a better price now. But don't go in cold, do your homework and shop several dealers by phone or e-mail, get your best deal and then go into oneconvenient to you and ask them to match it. I went into several and they all wanted 1000+ over msrp and I thought no way! I finally e-mailed one 200 miles away that said they would sell for 500 under MSRP and give me $500.00 credit on anything I wanted in their dealership. Armed with that information I went back to local dealer and they matched it immediately, in retrospect I should have asked for more, lol, they gave in too easy. Anyway just my opinion, why wait, ride now, '08's won't be any different.
