When You need to pass that big truck on that one lane road, you need that "better engine" to pass safely!!!
That's why I did a 95" w/cams build on my '04 RK. It sucks to run out of power when you're trying to pass on a two lane road.

I see Bubblehead sticking.

Although not universal but I still hear the Evo called "Blockhead", the TC "Fathead" and the Gushmore's called "Waterheads/Wetheads". Bubblehead should fit right in.

To be honest I'm not sure if the nicknames in the last 30 years or so are named for the engines or the people who buy them them.

The Knucklehead definitely wasn't called that prior to the Panheads showing up in 48. Till then there was no need to have a name to differentiate Knuckleheads from Panheads. Pre 86 Sportsters weren't called "ironhead" till after the Evo sporty came out in 86. When Shovelheads showed up in 66 the MoCo called them the new "Power Pak Heads". HD worked very hard to discourage anyone from sticking a nickname on the Evo and the Twin Cam. I'm sure one of the reasons is that they can trademark those terms so other companies can't use them without permission and paying for licensing. I think it's pointless to try to stick a nickname on something that doesn't need it. Harley gave the new motor a name already same as the Evo and Twin Cam before it. Why jump back 3 generations to give it some stupid nickname that you think'll sound cool when you tell someone at Starbucks "Check out my new ____head.". The whole point of the old nicknames whether it had knuckleheads, panheads, or Shovelheads was that back in the old days HD just called the Big Twin the EL, FL, FLH, etc and you needed the nicknames to differentiate between them. You don't need that anymore so trying to hang a cute name on the new motor just because is straight up lame.

Meh, it's just going to be called the 8V. Because that's what it is.
