I attached the stock windshield my RKC came with....Took the scoot on road and worked it to 90+ mph...Now the scoot looks complete with 16 inch apes.....What was I think of riding without the shield.....
I'm going to try my windshield this weekend with the shield on. My wife don't like riding without it. I actually hate it myself. I've come accustomed to the flavor of junebugs
I rode my bike yesterday without the windshield for the first time in a very long time and found something new. The bags under my eyes flutter in the wind soooo bad, I cant see! I had my regular glasses on, not my goggles. Never had that happen before, but I AM getting older. lol
Bought my Road King a few weeks ago.
Took the windshield off the day I got it home.
I planned on only using the windshield during my long out-of-town trips.
However, thanks to this thread, maybe I'll give it a try for my around-town and weekend country riding too.
I have an U/C I put a short windshield on it, I could not stand the wind buffer. So I put my 10 in. windshield back on. It was like night and day, so I guess I'll sale my short windshield.

Wouldn't think of riding without it. Maybe just in town, after I washed it and was heading somewhere to "dry" it off and too lazy to put the windshield back on.
I am not flaming here...this is just my personal opinion, nothing else......I hate my windshield. I feel like a complete dork when it is on and I hate the look of my bike with it.It does serve a purpose, however. If I am on a longer trip (100 miles or more) I will use it and as soon as I get where I am going I rip it off for the rest of my stay until I am heading back.
Nothing against anyone who uses one. It is just my own thing. [:'(]
