There's your problem right there. Put the mirrors back on top of the bars and that will take care of your problem of not being able to see behind you, simple.

I was trying to avoid that to be honest. They look better underneath. But I guess If I want to see I'll have to.

maybe one of these wiill help; i like my mirrors underneath as well

hd part number: mirror extension kit 91907-87 - this one worked for me

hd part number: chrome mirror extension kit 5600039

I'm to wide to do the underneath mount. Also you're supposed to be looking at traffic behind you not the ground. That's why your head is on a swivel.

On my stock mirrors I saw more of my shoulders and very little of what was behind me..

to fix the problem I got a set of these so I could get a better and almost full view of what's behind me.. I really like the results and they look fine on the bike.

If you put a taller pair of handlebars on your bike you can see the world behind you.

You say the right side is okay however the left one changes. What side do you mount your bike from ? Which way do you point the front wheel when parked. Think this through...are you bumping the mirror at any time ?
