Both! Snap!

Turn the Dyna into a comfortable commuter & turn the Sporty into a hooli.gan bike. I love my Dyna road sofa, but definitely miss my old '94 Sporty. 12.90 @ 105mph with my big dumb *** piloting & a hoot to either strafe apexes, jam thru traffic, or bar hop in formation on a Friday or Saturday night.

The Dyna's a nice, comfortable & agile bike, but the much lighter Sporty is so easy & such fun to hotrod a bit & have a blast on. Deff a solo venture tho, with the Sportster, while the Dyna has plenty of room for 2 (neither one of us a lightweight).

Maximize the inherent attributes of both & I think you'll be very well pleased.

It took a little longer than expected the 96 low rider fell through.

I traded for the 1988 sportster that weekend.
Bought a 95 low rider this past weekend.
Her name is Elanor

Is one or the other truly more reliable.

For example off the top of my head i know the stator assembly , clutch cable, rocker gasket , cam gasket, front and back master cylinders, brake brackets front and back etc etc on my bike have all went south
The older Dynas used a few of the sportys equipment.
Forks
Swingarm
Shocks
Headlamps
Turn sigs
Bars
Triple clamps
Brake rotors
Calipers
Fenders
And other things.

Stators go about every 60,000 miles.
Clutch cables, about 65,000 miles.
Tires? They should be similar.
12,000 front
10,000 rear
Give or take.
The Sport is more efficient, so it's likely faster.
The stock junk paper cylinder rockerbox gaskets last 10,000. Maybe.
Upgrade with rubber impregnated steel and the leaks/weeps cease for 100,000+ miles.
I'm presuming the inner cam bearing has been changed on the Dyna...
How much cargo do you need to transport to work?
FYI- BADandG bags is having 20% off right now on their bags. They're well made. Halloween spl.

Both will cost the same for maintenance. Given the choice, I'd take the Dyna every time.

I think your gonna love that Evo.

Think about a stabilizer system. They don't cost much and really square up older Dyna's.
