Still building my credit, so I didn't mind financing m my Road King, and it got me on a Harley 2 years sooner than if I'd waited and saved the money. It's worth the extra interest I'll pay to have it now, all the pompous jerks who feel the need to say "If you can't buy cash you don't need it" can kiss my ***, the same *** that's still sore from riding 6000 miles across the country. You only live once.
Yeah, I financed my Twinkie. But it's paid off. I also put a lot of money in my 401 K, so I don't have a lot of liquid assets. Some guys pay cash for a Harley but have no retirement savings.
Your bitterness should be retargeted at M8 owners. Twinkies are yesterday's news.
Yep , financed...paid fir now...I was able to make all my payments on time and it never kept buscuits off my table, got a rate that was low enough in 07 , I think it was either 2.9 or 3.9% so it was a no brainer.
If you can save the money and pay cash for everything then more power to you if that makes you feel better. I don't have the patience and by the time I save for years, what I wanted would be something else. Same with cars and home... 3% for the home, 2.4% for the truck....I use other people's money.
If I die tomorrow it will all be paid off for my wife and vice versa.
Life is way too short to worry about piddly **** like that, live it, love it.
By the way, I don't like twinkies, more of a Ho-ho guy..

not that it's any of your business, but yes i did finance. what that means is that i was able to purchase my 2013 cvo brand new in 2013 instead of waiting/making payments for 5 years or so then buying it second hand.
sure, i'm paying interest. but the rate is good enough that in the 5 years that i financed, my total interest charge is in the $1500 range. thats $30 a month. some of you pay more than that for your starbucks.
