I came home from a ride and no sooner did I park my bike, my wife picked up my HD motorcycle cover (non-abrasive polyester, indoor cover)off the floor and drapped it over the seat of my bike. You guessed it....it stuck right to the exhaust pipes. I can't even begin to tell you how pissed off I am. I pulled it off and a few pieces of the material melted to the exhaust. Does anyone have any ideas how I can remove it from the exhaust?I haven't tried anything yet becauseI wanted to see if anyone had any ideas. Thanks.
I heard oven cleaner works on hot pipes. I use wd40 to clean roofing tar off vinyl on the job
try that first.

If you use oven cleaner, spray it on a rag, then wipe it on the pipes. If you spray it directly on the bike, any overspray will damage paint and the black parts of your engine.
