How many of you actually had confrontations? lets say with neighbors, starting your bikes early to go to work,Or on the weekends going on a little bike run with the fellas..My only experiance, was on the freeway..bumber to bumber traffic, and i start to split lanes..One guy rolled down his window and started to give me the thumbs down as i cruised by..I wasnt racing by and I definitaley wasnt reving my motor..Just didnt know what his trip was..
There's a big difference between neighbors and trying to split lanes. I've never had an issue with any of my neighbors when it comes to starting up my bike early in the morning or coming home late at night from work. As for splitting lanes, in my mind, that's a whole different subject.

I had an ahole come up to me once in a parking lot as my girl and I were getting on our bike. He asked me if I knew the difference between a Harley and a Hoover. He thought it was hilarious. I just told him he was going to tell his joke to the wrong person someday.
our new neighbors asked if i minded that they got some chickens.... it's legal to have them here. i told them "i don't give a **** what you do". i don't worry about starting the bike up in the morning but it isn't loud anyway. they're good neighbors and we are too. no chickens yet either.
Younger days before cell phones yeah had some and some did end with scraped knuckles. Now fug it lifes getting too short to bother with idiots or ending up on Youtube.
One of my friendly and retired neighbors a couple houses down came over to me one day and asked if i would point my pipes the other way in the mornings cuz his windows vibrate during warming up.I respect that cuz i leave at 330am sometimes. He was very understanding since he also has a Harley. The neighbor between us,has a Kawi and it is LOUD!So im the quiet one now.
As far as starting up in an alternate place like some of you...I have a crushed stoned driveway that goes up hill so im not about to push a road king anywhere.Nor would i if i could. It is what it is.
As for the thumbs down for lane splitting..I would imagine people in ls states prolly get sick of the retards abusing the law.You tube is full of it.I dont think i would ls if i could, you just dramatically increase the chance of fatality.People open doors, drift, text, put makeup on,back up a missed exit...is it worth it?
Couple years ago in Charlotte I was sitting at a red light a block from the LEC waiting to make a left turn and no left turn arrow. Because of heavy traffic I had to sit thru three lights which didn't please the a-hole behind me very much. He blew his horn and when the light changed there was no traffic coming so he shot around me on my right side, turned left and yelled at me as he passed. I didn't try to do anything stupid like cut him off but I yelled what I thought of him as he passed. As I proceeded behind him he decided what I called him wasn't a compliment so he yelled back at me and motioned me to pull over and I gladly obliged and pulled to a stop behind him. I got off and before I could approach his car he decided it wasn't such a good idea to tell me to pull over and shot back into traffic like a bullet. I stayed at a reasonable speed and kept him in sight till I saw two bicycle cops. I stopped them and told them what had just happened and told them I was just tired of idiots that treat motorcycles as if they had no place on the road. Well those two boys hauled but and caught him a couple lights up the street. I stopped and listened to what was being said and this dikwad said it was all a lie. One of the cops asked if we knew each other and when he said no they told him I had no reason to lie and proceeded to write him a nice little note asking him if he didn't mind he could pay the court one hundred twenty five bucks. Revenge is sweet.

Burtsaw, you are saying that lane splitters are "retards". There is a huge difference between Rhode Island and California (where lane splitting is legal). Have you ever been to Los Angeles? 10 miles could take 60 minutes. Don't talk **** until you've lived in our shoes.
