Whats up fellas. So,I have finally decided to build my bike.
I've been in and out of shops since I was a kid, so I know my way around.
I have always had an eye for the 1942 Harley, so thats what i'm gonna roll with.
I want to put a modern power plant in, so I have a few questions...
Well I have a lot, but one I would like an answer to.
What options are available for engine conversions?
Lots of good questions for you by posters above. If you want to go with a Knucklehead as would have been in the 42 S&S makes both a 74 and 93 CI version of the knuckle. The 93 would not go in a 42 frame but I believe the 74 would.
Alright, starting from the top.
AJSHOVEL. No i do not own the bike yet.
dixonk. I,m looking for the best option. Reliability is the goal.
0maha. I plan on using the factory frame. I do have access too those things at
work, other then that no. I want to keep fabrication to a minimum.
Thanks Mxdad. I'll check it out.
Thanks for the help guys.
