If i install new tires with less stiff sidewalls, will it ride smoother?The michelin schorchers are extremely hard . no cushion. what do you guys think ? I dont ride fast ,not a turn burner i dont see a need for stiff sidewalls .
Less stiff sidewalls will give you a softer ride than stiff sidewalls, how much you will actually notice will vary. In my experience not enough of a difference that you really notice. IMHO the first thing I would look at is tire pressure and suspension settings. Both of those will have more of an impact on a smooth or rough ride than the tire sidewall. If tire pressure in the correct range and the suspension set for your weight do not give you the ride you are looking for then a suspension upgrade would be what I looked at next
