Default Can't wait!!

So on another forum I posted about blowing my knee out really bad. It's gonna be a long recovery and the weather is stll nice out here in November. I had planned on riding all winter this year but...Seriously thinking of having my Ol man bring my bike into my house so I can get on some small projects with her. Wire tuck, waxing, ect. Lol.. We'll been down 6 days, surgery went well, PT twice a day at home and can't put weight on it for at least 8 weeks so... Sounds like a good idea to me. Whatcha think?? Lol...

Years ago, early 70s, several of us in the club had our bikes in the house but only because there wasn't a garage. And during that same period, I built mine in my bedroom, which was in the back and it was a job to get it out, with the long front end.

So if you can get your bike inside, go for it. I'd drain the tank first.

Good advise. I was leaning that way.

When doing something like working on your bike, you might accidentally put weight on your knee or put it in a position that it shouldn't be, unless you're wearing some type of brace. You need to do everything you can to let Orthopedic surgeries heal properly. Been there, done that, a few times.

Bringing the bike in the house isn't a big deal,, lot's of folks do it. Been there-done that.
But as posted above,, you better lay off for a bit and heal. As bad as your damage was you do need to take time now. We live in a world where folks want an instant fix for everything and the surgeries they can do are amazing,, but the body takes time to heal.
Busted my knee up (tibial fracture) 21yrs ago and finally got it replaced a year ago. It sucks being layed up,, but what you do now will affect your immediate and long term future.
(Been there-done that, too)
Relax, you do that 8weeks then bring the bike in.

Put a sheet of plywood down first to catch any drops or spills. I painted a triumph frame with rattle cans hanging from an eye hook in the house. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Be patient and give it 8 weeks, then go forward. Good luck.

I know a guy that tore his panhead apart on his parents brand new white living room carpet, while they were on vacation. [they didn't kill him!]
Take care of the knee! The bike can be worked on any time.Mess up that new knee, and you might not be riding for a long time next year!
