after a fairly long winter here in chicago -
just last saturday finally got the bike back to my house and put it in the garage - rode for all of a mile and a half
my nephew neede help at his 4 flat retiling a bathroom which took a couple weekend days and it has been sporadically raining and then me and the wife took a vaca to vegas for a couple of days.
but i have always hated spring because the skills on the bike just seem to leave me over the winter - and here i am feeling like a neophite.
that is one big heavy bike - and i remember back in the day (25 years ago) and the same thing happened to me every spring
i would drag feet and duck waddle
guess i just have to get out and do some parking lot practice and get that 'feel'
before i put the bike away i was feeling pretty good - like one with the bike - now i have to get reaquainted
I can't wait for Spring but then, I'm in Cali. Live in the mountains so we get cold, snow, and rain. It's about 42but I'm gonna take another putt today. I always feel like a fish out of water too when we get past the ice, cinders, and junk.
I always ride into my garage and the drive is uphill so the first thing, I gotta roll that thing outbackwards and down the drive (which is also slopped). Always the same, sink or swim (drop). No screws ups (yet).
Seems like my scooter gains weigh in the winter like I do.
Not me, it's my favorite time of the year. However, I will say that I sure am tired of those cold starts for the long rides where I'm piling on layers; only to take the off during the day to then pile them right back on in the evening on the ride back home. They're uncomfortable and make me look fat, but it beats freezing my *** off.
Ah yes spring in virginia .....lotsa rain currently and pine pollen over everything . Looks like green dust everywhere. But it'll be 75 and sunny on friday..... oh yeah

You won't have that problem in FL.
No and it is a temptation, but you don't have any mountains either, which are just a blast to ride in.
