Default Wolverine boots great cs

In September of 2015 I bought a pair of Riddick boots from the dealer. This past October on one the side zipper blew out. I took them back to see what to do about it. So I was a month out of warranty, the dealer sent them back to Wolverine and surprise, surprise they credited the shop for a new pair!

In 48 years of riding for me these have been the most comfortable boots for riding and walking, in hot or cold weather. My hat is off to Wolverine for their treatment of this issue. That's what customer service is all about.

That's great to hear! You're one of those rare folks that actually like HD boots and think they're comfortable.

Hahaha, I know! I don't know how long these have been available but last year I noticed this model while wandering around the dealership while my bike had a service done. Tried them on and was immediately impressed. They have been the only Harley boot I've ever liked. Nice padding at the ankle, gel insert in the sole for walking around. Crazy stuff lol.

That is something you do not hear often "that is what customer service is all about ". Lucky you.

If these are anything like the normal Wolverine boot, I can see why you would say they are comfortable. I have never tried the HD Wolverine boot but Wolverine makes a great boot.

In the past decade or two, I've come to the realization that, for me at least, revisiting old fashioned lasted boots and shoes are the way to go. They end up being easier on my feet and back than Chinese disposables. I say "end up" because new, they are a bastard and need to be broken in. Chinese disposables have an initial advantage in being cheaper, as well as being at their comfortable best right out of the box when new. Old style boots cost a lot and take some breaking in but ultimately they're the best in support and comfort and stay that way through 2 or 3 sets of replacement soles. They naturally breathe and don't need holes or fabric panels to keep them from slow cooking your feet.

Younger guys, who've never experienced lased footwear, will nonetheless identify with that threadbare, comfortable old T-shirt or sweatshirt that wives can't get em to throw out. Believe it or not, old boots used to be like that too. Lasted boots just got too expensive, and are heavy, and lack the snazzy but useless rotomoulded features of the disposables. Now mostly oilfield & forestry workers and old guys buy em. But, what the hell do they know ?

I ware Wolverine steel toes most of the time. I like them and they have held up well. I wouldn't hesitate buying another pair once these give out.

The Riddick is the only model of HD boot that I liked (had a gift card for the original purchase) when I tried them on. Over the years I've had lots of different brands that got worn to the point of no repair lol.

As a kid in 1968 I wore those old orange "work boots" found everywhere on my minibike and then in '70 a Honda Trail 70 (the H model with a clutch like a real motorcycle LOL). Once I progressed to small mx bikes the gear got serious through my flat track days.

After high school and moving to riding on the street as a poor college student I'll admit to not always wearing the best gear. Things have changed obviously though I'm still poorer than I'd like to be .

These will do nicely now.
