I wear a HJC 3/4. Bought it several years ago, so I don't know current prices. The HJC is comfortable, well made, and I don't look like the Great Kazoo.
I wore 3/4 helmets for many years on motors. None better than Shoei RJ Air. It might be called RJ Platinum now. But I'm sure I looked like a great kazoo. Better than looking like a veggie.
I have a Bell 500, Biltwell Bonanza, and a Daytona 3/4. For me the Daytona is gives me the least amount of the Great Gazoo effect. The other 2 are a little higher quality, but I wear the Daytona 99% of the time.
Just got a Daytona for $65 and free shipping off Amazon on the way!!
I have a Shoei RJ-Platinum R and the HD version of an HJC IS-33 and like them both. Both are light, and comfortable. I have J&M comms (speakers and mic) installed on both and had no issues with the install.
I would recommend both of these. If you go to www.Revzilla.com, they have a bunch of helmet review and comparison videos. I found them helpful when I was shopping.
