Does your Dyna have a radio or security? If not, you won't have a parasitic drain on your battery and you can leave it much longer then your Road Glide. You could do a 3 week off, 2 days on for the Dyna, with the remainder of the time on the Road Glide. YMMV
Yeah, the Low Rider S has the keyless ignition like some of the CVO's - fob present and switching run/stop to run powers up the bike, stop shuts everything down. So the security system is always looking for the fob. Seems to be putting a higher drain on the battery then my old Low Rider with a physical Off-Ign-Acc switch.
I was really asking thoughts on the week on, week off the tender. Seems like that'll be fine. Thanks all.
I had a situation once with zero access to electrical outlet.
Also had very little lighting for a solar charger.
Also had a parking issue for the bike..it was a covered area but positioning was a challenge.
I got a car battery, a voltage convertor and a battery tender.
I owed everything already except for the battery.
Bike connected to tender and tendor connected to converter and the converter connected to battery.
Carried my little system to and from as needed.
The source battery lasted about two days and was used about once or twice a month.
Tender was used to charge battery..it reads more complicated than it was.
