At this point, the price is likely to still be almost the same as new, so why risk buying a used bike? A used bike's main appeal is significantly lower price and a used 2017 M8 is likely to not be very much less than new at this point in time.
A warranty eliminates risk. Also, when you factor freight, prep and other incidentals associated with a new purchase, a used bike is a better buy.
I bought my RKC at Ray Price about a year ago. Super dealership. Honest, fair priced and really went out of their way to make sure I was a happy customer after the sale. Did some stuff for me that they really didn't have to do.
It shocks me at how many worry about the demo bikes. "Oooh...they've been abused". Really?!?!? Either you're too big a bitch to "get on it" and know that it doesn't hurt anything, or you're just a bitch period! Have never known for a fact that riding hard or "demo'ing" a bike devalues/jeopardizes reliability enough to think twice about a good deal. That said, if the dealer is not offering a deal....well, new is the better option.
