vozz rear entry helmets.
Weight
1780g DOT its on the light end of modular helmets.
1680g (ECE, AS/NZ, JIS) it's in the middleweight class for standard full face.
Glasses under the helmet become a non issue, it doesn't require you to remove them to put the helmet on, it doesn't fold your ears over either when putting it on. Internal visor is a non issue, they're gimmicks and half baked solutions for those of us who wear glasses anyway. And for those of us who have 0 use for BT that isn't an issue either.
Watch the video, that helmet goes on and off FAST! The safety release system really does solve a problem paramedics on scene at a wreck have to contend with when people wear helmets, stabilizing the neck and getting the helmet off is a huge deal.
Pro's:
- First and foremost is the SRS.
- Rolled chin bar
- Rolled chin bar allows turning head more easily
- No lifting or buffeting
- No snag points on bottom of helmet
- No chin strap
- Can put it on with glasses or gloves on
- Fast/Easy on and off.
- Chin bar is longer, moves it away from your mouth and nose for better anti fog/misting, no pinlock required
- Greater distance from chin bar to shoulder could reduce collar bone breakage
- Small opening, rolled edges, and chin cup reduce air entry into helmet
- Well vented
Con's
- Price tag
- What's with the funky wing motif with the vent inlets?
- No removable liner
- Perhaps no BT/Comms
Review: VOZZ RS 1.0 Helmet
If the price wasn't so steep, I might be interested in giving it a go if I was interested in a FF helmet. For the moment though I would have to give it a pass just on the price alone.
