Zipper head broken
If the pull came off the slider and left a hole, you can mount a new pull as others have suggested. If the top of the slider broke off you need to replace the slider. You can order the slider in various sizes. I just replaced the slider on my chaps and it was a size 10. Most jackets use a size 5. You can google zipper slider replacement and there are videos show how to replace the slider. You have to be careful removing the zipper stay or you will need to replace it also.

I've used those loopy pulls, but they don't lock the zipper. I just sent my 15 year old jacket in for 2 new zippers, 2 new pulls and a reconditioning.
I hope Dena knows what she is doing. She was recommended on another thread. I have spoken to her on phone several times and she sounds like the real deal.

I had a similar issue with a couple of jackets over the years. I took it in to a leather place and they replaced the zipper unit that zips the zipper in 15 mins. Was just like new and I think it cost me less than $10.
