Probably more from the drying effects of the constant wind more than getting stuff in my eyes.

I'm leaning more towards some sunglasses that have a gasket that seals around the eye. I'm not really a fan of wearing large goggles when riding the scoot.

I currently have my eyes on the Wiley-X Air Rage Glasses/Goggles. Does anyone have any experience with these? They seem like exactly what I'm looking for.

Any recommendations?
I highly recommend the air rage if they are a good fit for you. On the ultra I don't bother with the gasket or strap but on my FXD the gasket is a life saver and if it's windy I'll toss the elastic strap on.

Ive been wearing prescription trifocal air rages for 3 years now.

transitions lenses in a progressive no line trifocals, expensive even with eye insurance but worth it.

When wearing a 1/2 helmet and no windshield my wileyX XL1s serve me well, (rubber gasket on frame).

Me too. Liberty Sport Chopper that I've had for several years. Bifocal with transition. Next pair will be no line as I've finally gotten used to them.

Another vote for Liberty Sport ( http://www.libertysport.com/ ) - mine are prescription sunglasses and I have three pair (set for yardwork/cycles/cage)...I recycle these w/age & prescription change(s) and the cycle set are now bifocal (aging sux). These things have taken hits from yard debris/rocks/bugs and drops w/o faltering.

Sorry WileyX owners, but I tried a set last year, but the frames are too flexible so it distorted my vision (prescription lenses + riding vibration = fuzzy vision). Even when jumping over to IA (no helmet state) and trying w/o lid they still vibrated too much. Went back to Liberty Sport and no problems w/vision distortion.

The gasket style glasses never worked for me. I ended up throwing my costas on one day and rode with no issue. When I had to send the costas in for repair I had a pair or oakley jupiter squareds sitting in a drawer, I figured they would suck, but wanted to ride. Turns out they're the best pair of sunglasses I have for riding, believe it or not. Sometimes getting the glasses away from your face a bit is actually better than trying to make an air-tight seal. YMMV

I went thru several different pairs of glasses till I bought a pair of the HD photochromatic glasses. They have the rubber seal around the lenses and I've ridden with them on fairing and non fairing bikes with a skid lid. My observation is that these particular glasses work for me because they seem to fit my face. I don't believe that glasses are 1 size fits all. Kinda like helmets or seats..... what works for you may not work for somebody else. Just gotta spend the $$$ and go thru the trial & error till you get it right
