Post Back Supports

Has anyone out there had the need to minimize the virbration that gets transferred from your bike to your back? I recently had a couple of veterbrae fused in my upper pack and would like to minimize the vibrations on my spine.
And, no I am not ready to quit riding.

Thanks,
TH in Clemmons

I bought a back support belt at Walmart for about $20. It helps keep everything in line. Best thing I did was buy a rider backrest. If you don't have one you might give it a try. If not your style the support belt might be the better option then.

Many years ago when I injured my back, I got a back support from the Dr. that resembled a corset. It had flexible thin plates about 1" wide in it that supported my lower back. I couldn't bend over much but it sure did the job.

If you are using a riders backrest on your back, think about talking with the boys at Mean City Cycle and see if their memory foam might help.

I have a Ultimate seat that is very comfortable. It isn't the seat that is the problem. The backrest just helps my back stay more straight and that is what I really need.
