Default Almost Summer for AZ

Me and the Mrs. took a 3.5 hour ride today. Damn near 90F, although most of it was low 80's. Lots of riders out...

Thanks for the teaser. Winter again up here in the KC area. Not much longer though and we'll be riding daily!

Yup, looked like a nice day for a ride. 3 above today but we're hopeful spring will be here soon.

Currently is in the 'teens, and we are expecting 1 foot of snow starting Tuesday evening.

2 Wednesday's back the winds blew through and snapped over 150 power poles.
Last Wednesday the winds returned and blew down a phenomenal number of tree's county wide, many large ones and that event left over 134k homes without power, some still so.
My just tuned kerosene heater is in it's 3rd house since the storm began.
it's kept it's share of homes from burst pipes in the single digit weather.
I've been back on the grid since Friday so it's been traveling as houses have come back on-line.
We've been busy splicing generators into boxes and sharing resources.

The power people have been working non-stop, and our dickwad governor who is obviously gearing up for the next presidential run has been critical of them.
Maybe he should look to his own house and see that the state that he and his father have both run has been driven down so far we may never recover.
When he runs don't go for it, he is in the mold of Barry.

All said, summer will be sweet this year.

Mid to high 70s here in Prescott Valley. Out and about on errands today, wearing a lightweight jacket.

Got a new Avon Cobra on the back. Seems to handle and brake very well. some noise laid over for turns. I'd been running Shinko 777HDs, had excellent handling with those, but the rear only last maybe 5000 miles. (And that's an old man putting around on a Road King, no burnouts or wheelies or whatever) We'll see how the Cobras last.

What route did you take? Looks awesome. I went out to Bartlett and ended up in Cave Creek.

Right there with ya Big Papa. Some friends and I rode up through Superior and Globe and through the Salt River Canyon today. I think it was around 85 degrees on our way back around noon or 1:00. Was gorgeous, lots of twisties going through the canyon. Logged 230 miles. It blows that it's still so cold in other parts of the country. Of course when it's nice in those parts it will be 115 degrees here. Always a trade off.

Looks like you went through Superior and Globe.

I did that route Saturday and came back through Roosevelt Lake. I got caught up in the traffic for the Renaissance Festival, took me 1-1/2 hours to get from Mesa to the festival turnoff.

Yeah, we rode from QC to Hayden for lunch, then up to Globe and back. We also got sun burned sitting on 60 waiting for festival traffic. Great day! Saw a crap load of trikes, makes me want one.
