I've had similar happen to me and count yourself lucky if it wasn't scratched too. I'd be pizzed that my bike was returned like this and would have said something right then to theservice mgr. But I wouldn't write a letter over this. Just because they wererunning behind is no exuse to give a bike back to the customer like this. Also, when you get service done tell them not to wash your bike!I've seen some scary chit while watching the guys at the dealer washbikes and it's not how I'd want my bike washed. Like using the same rags over and over and god knows how many swirls and scratch marks they'd leave.
I try to do as much as Ican myself, but sometimes I have no choice but to go to the dealer.
Just look at the condition of your scoot as an "indicator." Pride in workmanship and customer satisfaction are NOT indicated in the condition of your returned scoot. If you're not gonna do it yourself - seek another service shop.
Id find the machanics car/bike and go out and fingerprint it all up......OR better yet, his tool box. . Grease under the door pulls always pisses them off.
Dirty Bike after Maintanance not good. Happened to me after my 10000 mi. check up. Purchased Bike from Dealer. First Two, 1000 and 5000, done where Bike was purchased. Bike was Cleaned after. But after 10000, bike was Filthy, Hand prints all over. I told service manager, he said he would take of it. I guess you have to trust it won't happen. If it did either go elsewhere, Or do it yourself....Ride Safe and Often.....BearC.Paw.....
