No. If you get the slightest of short on an exposed wire you'll hate yourself after you've put it together and get all sorts of error codes, only to take it all apart to redo it all.
Use wire lube! My new bars didn't get reamed out very good when built n skinned some wires pullin thru the first time
so had to fix it. Ran stranded 18/8 (t-stat wire) n it was tight. Buddy is an electrician n started spraying the wire, I didn't think it was gonna work but sure as **** it did.
Depends on what bars and how many wires your trying to run on the sheathing .Help yourself by taking a dermal and deburring the dimples your feeding wires thru. I use electricians pull lube and guitar strings. I prefer D or G strings. As far as pushing or pulling that also depends on the bars shape. Your going to find it really hard to push wire thru a short set of Z-bars. I prefer to pull wires with a helping hand.
I stick a string through the bars, pump it with an air hose and grab it out the other end. push not pull, for sure... but the guide is priceless. deburring the holes is always a good idea. never had to lube one up but the wild1 16" chubby apes are a breeze.
I cut an old throttle cable and routed the ball end threw. I then tie the cable to the wires with fishing line. Take electrical tape and tape all the ends to a point so it doesn't get snagged while feeding it threw. I then get a buddy to push and pull at the same time. I have wired a few standard apes and they are cake. Z bars need a little persuading but it will go
You're a glutton for punishment.... Might as well start doing the spellcheck on the title of your next post 1118. Why is the left siginal light staying on and my bike cut's off on left hand turns and manhole bumps?
