You're looking at it all wrong, Denim. You should wait for everyone else to change over to the way you do things- not vice versa.
I haven't touched that stupid kill switch since the day I bought the bike, and have never used one to turn a bike off in my life.
I'll keep doing it that way till everyone else starts doing it my way. Then we'll all be right!

Thank you Lost1! You have confirmed what my wife angrily yells out..."You're always right!!!" To which I usually respond, "Nice of you to admit it!"
See??!! One more example of why I should never doubt myself! The rest will come around eventually!
This is all too funny, the kill switch is supposed to be for emergencies, why would you ever use it to park the bike, afraid the ignition switch won't work? Maybe the bike will fall over if you don't use it! lol
Bestest thing to do is rip all them dang switches off, stick a couple four toggle switches on (ignition, lights, signals, starter) and then it don't matter. After all, if'n they're gonna rip your bike, they're gonna rip it. Give a dumb thief enough switches to try and figger out and he'll just go to the HD with normal switches so's he can do it without thinking.

Uhhh.....let's see.....gotta remember kill switches....ignition switches and keys.....kickstands....dangit....how much more complicated is this motorcyclin' gonna get.
I just bought my 07 Super Glide and I read the whole booklet that comes with it and it says to use the kill switch to stop the motor but it doesn't say why. I never used the kill switch on my last bike and I don't see why I'd need to on this one. I'm in the Army so I know that just because something is written doesn't mean it's right. A lot of Army doctrine falls into this category.
