Default Transporting motorcycle question?

I need to transport a motorcycle for a friend. We have a pickup and ramps that fit to move the motorcycle into the bed of the truck.

Question is what is the easiest way to get the bike in & out of the pickup bed with just 2 people?

My dad often transports his bike when we go to rallies & stuff because he tows a trailer to save $ on hotels, what he does is he loops a tiedown around both front forks & uses a winch mounted on a piece of metal that goes across the truck bed & sits in the hook holes. He winches the bike up slowly walking next to it on the ramps (he has 2 500lb ramps) it works great, it takes 2 people, but its very effective for lifting a 800lb bike into the back

How does he keep it from tipping to 1 side?

The easiest way is to ride it up the ramp and into a wheel chock designed for motorcycles. The chock will hold up the bike by itself while you tie it down. Just make sure your ramp is wide enough so your feet can catch you if you start tipping. This is especially important when rolling it back down the ramp since you will be using gravity and both brakes to ease yourself down.

I am thinking of baking it in. Because I would rather ride it out then back it down a ramp. Are you thinking this is the easiest way, the 1 you described?

We hauled our Sporty in the back of our Nissan Frontier quite a few times. Also hauled our friend's Honda Rebel for her.Hubby always rode it up the ramp and backed it down. I was ready with soft ties and tie downs so as soon as he rode it into the back of the truck I secured the front end so he could get off and help me finish tying it down. We have a really wide ramp and he put some non-slip stair treads all the way across so his feet and the bike wouldn't slip when he was backing it down. It worked for us!

It depends on how steep the ramp is. It's easier and safer to power the bike up a ramp then trying to push it up with 2 people. If you insist on backing it up then find a low spot or ditch to back the truck up to so to minimize the ramp angle.

Drive it in much much easier and Roll it out having someone help you balance it on the way out
When in the truck just ratchet it down (front end) and your good to go

its easy to steal a bike from a truck don't leave it over night

I have never backed one onto a truck myself sounds like it could be a challange. If you can use a trailer much safer to load and unload If you have to use a pickup use caution and advoid the urge to lift the bike

Back the truck up to a hill so the height is lower, drive up the ramps, and back out later. It is easier to get it in this way. Just use your front brake when you back it down and balance with your feet.
